How to make a Spud Gun / Potato Gun

So you want to make your own Spudgun

 
   
First of all you need to get the materials to make your Spud gun of which you can get cheaply from any DIY store or home depot.
   

What you need to build your Spud gun / Potato Gun

4 inch ABS Pipe

3 inch ABS Pipe

4 or 3 inch fitting (see Spudgun video above)

2 to 3 inch fitting (see Spudgun video above)

4 inch cleanout with cap

PVC Cement and primer

BBQ type button lighter plus two screws

2 inch ABS pipe

How to make a Spudgun or Spud gun
   

Building the Spud gun

Cut a 12 inch section of the 4 inch pipe

Cut a 36 inch section of the 2 inch pipe

Make an adaptor to connect the 4 inch chamber to the 2 inch barrel

Glue the clean out to the chamber

Put the screws into the chamber at 90 degree angle

Strip the BBQ wires and solder them to the two screws

Now glue the completed chamber and the barrel to the barrel

Ok now its built your ready for the fun part of the building a spud gun " Firing the gun "

You just need to think a bit about safety and do not fire it in a built up area. Why not fire it over a lake and that way you can see how far it goes, or fire your homemade Spud gun at targets from melons to old crates.

Oh never fire a spud gun at a human or any animal because its just stupid !
